WhatsApp Channels is a broadcasting tool within WhatsApp that allows the Channel creator to share posts, updates, etc. with their followers. It is a one-to-many sending option for the creator (who may or may not be the channel admin) while the follower can’t reply in the Channel.

What is a WhatsApp channel?

Channels are a one-way broadcast tool for admins to send text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls. They can be found in a new tab called Updates on WhatsApp. Only channel admins can send out broadcasts, providing some structure to the whole system.

To create a WhatsApp Channel, you need a WhatsApp account. You can access Channels through the WhatsApp Business app. However, please note that WhatsApp Channels has begun rolling out but isn’t available to everyone yet. Some features, like being able to create a channel, might not be available to you yet.

For more information on how to create a WhatsApp Channel and customize it, you can visit the WhatsApp Help Center.
